Graviman

Horace Braxton, alias Graviman, is a scientist specialized in gravitational manipulation, and hero of Paragon City.

Abilities

While incredibly smart, Graviman has little practical training and all of his powers come from his Gravi-armor.

• Gravitational Manipulation: The core power of the Gravi-armor is the ability to manipulate gravity, allowing its wearer to lift, foes, propel heavy object or immobilize targets.
• Gravitational Warping: A complex application of gravitational manipulation, the Gravi-armor can teleport at close range, allowing quick relocation.
• Engineering Genius: Graviman is very capable in many domains of engineering, capable to build both superhero equipment as well as robots and vehicles.

Biography

Horace Braxton was born in Skyway City, and after studying at university, joined the Orion Labs, building equipment for Superheroes. While working, Horace started building his masterpiece, an armor that would let anyone manupilate gravity at will.

Creating the Gravi-armor took nearly a year, and once completed Horace started to test it. On his first test outside, he was attacked by gangsters believing him to be a Hero. Thanks to the armor powers, Horace was able to defend itself and experiencing the fight made him realize that fighting crime was the path he truly wanted to follow. And thus, Graviman was born.

Horace left Orion Labs to dedicate himself to protect Skyway City against all kind of villains. His new career was a bit too successful, quickly earning himself the enmity of the Trolls and the Losts, and Graviman quickly found himself needing help against the growing tide of enemies. After a few failures, and taking inspiration from the clockworks, Graviman built a robot capable to serve both as assistant on the workshop and as sidekick on the field, which he named Guardian S-5.

After years of crime-fighting, an incident gave Guardian S-5 a fully realized sentience. Upon discovering it, Graviman tried to destroyed Guardian S-5, sure that an intelligent robot would want to destroy humanity. However, Guardian S-5 managed to flee, and since then Graviman has made is life-goal to fix his mistake by ensuring his former sidekick would be captured or destroyed.

After this decision, Graviman’s participation to crime-figthing dropped to near-zero, and some of his recent actions put people in danger, resulting in open critics from other heroes. Certain of the righteousness of his goal, Graviman is ignoring all of it, and intend to keep doing so until Guardian S-5 is no longer a danger for humanity.
