The daughter of Efi Mekelson and Taala Racindottir, Gæirhildr was born on the 18h of the season of the Scion of the year 1304 AE, in Podaga Steading, where she lived her childhood. As her birthname prophesied, she quickly found talent and enjoyment in learning weapons and mastering the battlefield; and with the guidance of the bear spirit, became skilled warrior.

So far, her attempts at growing her legend has been less succesfull than she had hoped; while she joined the Vigil nearly as soon as she was able, she was not able to join the final fight against the undead dragon; She had been called back to Podaga Steading by her family when the Pact attempted to invade Mordremoth; and when she learned of the troubles in Elona, she rushed as quickly as she could, but still arrived after the fire god’s fall. She did participate and gained some noteriety from helping to protect Elona, then the Shiverpeaks against three different dragons; but she hopes to get known for a personal act of bravery, not simply for skillful combat as part of a unit.

Her most used weapons are her trusty axe and shield; but she also keep on her a bolt thrower she “acquired” during the Dominion civil war. During her time in Elona, she learnt a bit from the local spellbreakers; while she appreciate the defensive aspect of their combat style, she doesn’t really understand their obsessiveness against spells and magic.
